College Access and Persistence Counselor

Serving as a strategic leader embedded within a STEM charter school, I function in an administrative capacity comparable to assistant principal — overseeing academic compliance, postsecondary planning, and cross-departmental coordination for grades 9–12. I manage a direct caseload of 240 students annually while simultaneously driving school-wide academic expansion initiatives, including growing dual enrollment offerings from zero to 15 courses and adding 15 AP courses through the AP Access for All partnership.

Program Manager at KIPP Nashville College Prep

Led school-wide student support services at KIPP Nashville Collegiate Prep, impacting approximately 500 students annually through Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III interventions. Designed and implemented data-informed support plans, built community partnerships, and led annual reporting for local, state, and national audiences — ensuring services remained aligned with school goals and student needs.

Learning Center & Residential Counselor

Provided nearly eight years of trauma-informed academic and residential support to Nashville’s most vulnerable youth. Delivered crisis intervention, facilitated group programming, managed Title I compliance, and collaborated with clinical and educational teams to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes for students and families.

My undergraduate studies provided a strong foundation in understanding human behavior, societal structures, and their impact on education and community outcomes. Lipscomb’s Psychology Leadership program blends the science of human behavior with the practical skills of effective leadership. Grounded in critical thinking, behavioral analysis, and social influence, the program emphasizes six core leadership competencies — communication, drive and energy, influence, organizing and planning, problem solving and decision making, and relationship building.
